Monday, 15th March from 09:00EET (08:00CET) / 21:00EET (20:00CET) & Saturday, 20th March 2021 from 18:50EET (17:50CET), on Happy Hour>> Radio DJ2 https://bit.ly/radiodj2> you can listen 2:10 hours, the album/compilation "25 Years of Hits" by DJ Paul Elstak, album released on November 29th, 2019 ! In the early 1990s, DJ Paul Elstak emerged as one of the pioneers of the hardcore scene and also founded the world's first hardcore label: Rotterdam Records. In 1994 a new movement emerged from the gabberhouse: Happy Hardcore. This music, with fast, cheerful melody lines and vocals, is, unlike hardcore, radio-friendly and accessible to the general public. In the years that followed there has been a real explosion of happy hardcore that is doing very well in the charts. The hardcore scene is also growing to its peak these days, because many young people come into contact with the hardcore scene through happy hardcore. Paul Elstak also decides to throw himself into happy hardcore and subsequently scores a whole row with hits such as Don't Leave Me Alone, The Promised Land, Life Is Like A Dance, Luv U More and Rainbow In The Sky. In the hardcore scene Elstak's commercial foray is not appreciated by everyone, however others point out that Paul has also continued to produce and play hardcore and grant him success. Paul then decides to quit happy hardcore adventure and return to producing hardcore on his own record label: Offensive Records. Paul Elstak is now a living legend worldwide and for later generations he is still the figurehead of both the hardcore and the happy hardcore scene. The fact that the DJ is still popular with the general public was once again evident when he was asked for the title song of the New Kids Turbo film, with which he also won a Rembrand Award for best film hit song. This album is a milestone in the history of the Rotterdam DJ and the only complete hit document for his entire works.
