Happy Hour> RDJ1> 31 July - 1 August 2021

This weekend: 31st July & 1st August 2021, from 10:00EET (09:00CET) & 22:00EET (21:00CET) on Happy Hour> RDJ1 https://bit.ly/radiodj1, you can listen the album "Missing Links" by Accuface, album released on February 15th, 2021. It's done: within the last three years Accuface has worked hard to polish up all of its classics from the past 25 years and release them on its label Metrophonic Resistance. The tedious work (sifting through old DAT cartridges with the original masters, repairing old hard drives and carefully re-mastering) now culminates in his last album in the remaster series: "Missing Links". An album that again offers not only well-known pieces that were never released in full length (because they were only available as a mix snippet on the legendary Sony / Tunnel sampler "Tunnel Trance Force" and DJ Networx) as well as previously unreleased material. Some songs date back to 1996. Now they are on the start - of course, remastered in the best 2021 state-of-the-art sound! "Missing Links" contains tons of songs that have never been heard in full before, such as "Ability to fold Space" by DJ Networx Vol. 6 from 2000, as well as the party track "9 o 'clock (we gotta go to work) "from Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 22 (2002) or the harder" Frequency of the Nation "(DJ Networx Vol 3, 1999). As with every song, there is a story behind the latter: "The CD series DJ Networx was still fairly new. After the mega success of the Tunnel Trance Force (it broke into the top 3 of the Media Control Charts with the first volume), Sony wanted Music established a harder mix-compilation variant. Tunnel asked me if I could contribute a harder track. Inspired by one of my favorite techno sounds - the legendary 'Hoover' - I sat down in the studio. If you listen carefully , you can hear slight timing glitches in the song. Back then everything was based on real machines in the studio (synthesizer, expander and sampler) and I only had one sampler (the Ensoniq ASR 10, 16 bit fully developed with no less than 16 megabytes of RAM) . I have always demanded a lot from this device and always pushed it to its limit. The surface of the sampler became so hot that you could have fried eggs on its surface. In summer you had to h silly to be naked in the studio to endure it, remembers Marlon with a laugh and adds: "Yes, times were really different before, but I don't want to miss them".
